Heindl Confectionery, an Austrian family business, was founded in Vienna's 5th district. Confectionery master Walter Heindl senior and his wife Maria began making chocolate with liqueur and confectionery. His creations are famous today as the classic Viennese confectionery. Heindl-Group operates around 30 specialist confectionery stores throughout Austria and is therefore not only one of the largest confectionery traders in the whole country, but also an exporting company worldwide.
